All meetings to take place before 19^th commemoration will focus on measures to solve problems of genocide survivors before April 7^th 2013, Mrs. Winifrida Mpembyemungu; mayor of Musanze district has remarked.

This was revealed on February 27^th 2013 in Musanze district during the meeting to prepare for 19^th commemoration.

Though the meetings will be directed at resolving genocide survivor’s problems, the mayor says that 1994 Tutsi genocide survivors’ welfare in Musanze district is well taken care of.

During the meeting, it was decided that the event to start 19^th commemoration on April 7^th 2013 Busogo memorial site in Busogo sector and the commemoration evening will take place at Ubworoherane stadium.

Epimaque Samvura, Head of Ibuka in Musanze district asserts that early meetings will help us to have commemoration activities organized head of time.

Winifrida Mpembyemungu, mayor of Musanze district confirms that genocide survivors standards of living improved and the meetings will be solving most of their pending problems.

Another issue talked about in the meeting was the management of the funds collected during the 18^th commemoration last year 2012 and to elect an organizing team to deliver necessities to the sectors where the events will be held.

IBUKA is an umbrella organization that connects the groups that aid survivors of the 1994 Tutsi genocide.
