The occasion to give out the cows was on March 08 2012 and the beneficiaries vowed to follow the footstep of the beneficiaries that have given them heifers so that they give heifers to other poor residents.

The beneficiaries claim to fight poverty and malnutrition with the milk they will be getting from their cows.

Eugene Shingiro, Nyabihu district veterinarian asserts that during the function, malnourished children were given over fifty litres of milk as a way of fighting malnutrition.
