Security officials in Ruhengeri cell, Muhoza sector in Musanze District have been asked to work with local leaders to tighten security in this area.
This was revealed on February 13th 2013 during one day retreat that gathered village leaders, security officials, home guards and other security concerned entities in Ruhengeri cell, Muhoza sector in Musanze district.
The executive secretary of Ruhengeri cell, Josiane Umubyeyi told residents to participate in keeping security by reporting to the security officials in case of any problem.
“There are six home guards in every village of Ruhengeri cell. Their telephone numbers are given to the residents so that they are contacted in case of a problem,” Umubyeyi adds.
Sirien Sibomana, Susa village leader says that if a problem emerges they all solve it since the village leader is the coordinator of village leaders and security authorities.
Jean de Dieu Muhire, Head of home guards in Ruhengeri cell, confirms that residents should participate in security keeping through installing security lights on their gates.
Muhire reminded residents to report thugs and drug abusers for them to be arrested.
