Schools in Kayonza district have been given mattresses meant for students supported by FARG, a fund that supports poor 1994 genocide survivors.
Denyse Kayitesi the coordinator of FARG in Kayonza district said that students were given these mattresses when they needed them badly since some of the students didn’t have mattresses at all and those who had them they were very old and in bad shape.
FARG had last given mattresses to students they support in Kayonza district in 2008 and these had already worn out.

Every year, a school gets new students and others leave therefore they are not worried about one of their students lacking mattresses as they the demanded mattresses asked by schools.
These mattresses will ensure a good night’s sleep and independence as some students shared beds because they didn’t have mattresses especially the new students in these students.
They will help students perform well in their academics as a rested mind ensures concentration and hard work as Kayitesi explained.
