Iyi koperative yatangiye ari ishyirahamwe, yatangiranye abanyamuryango 12, kuri ubu ikaba ifite abagera kuri 35 barimo abapfakazi, imfubyi, n’ababana n’ubwandu bwa SIDA, nk’uko bisobanurwa na Nyirasafari Sawiya, umwe mu banyamuryango bayo.

Ati: “ubu twatangiye umushinga wo guhinga ibihumyo, aho duha imigina abaturage, ndetse tukaba tunateganya kujya tuyumisha, kuko iyo ibihumyo bitumye byangirika vuba”.

Umubyeyi Josiane, umunyamabanga nshingwabikorwa w’aka kagali, yavuze ko abaturage bagomba kugira uruhare mu icungwa n’ibungwabungwa ry’umutekano wabo, bahamagara abashinzwe umutekano igihe cyose bagize ikibazo, kuko aba home guards bakiri bake muri aka kagali.

Ati: “Turacyafite home guards nke muri aka kagali, ku buryo ari nka batandatu kuri buri mudugudu. Numero zabo zaratanzwe bityo ugize ikibazo cyose ajye yihutira gutabaza kuko ntawe utabaza ngo yo gutabarwa”.

Sirien Sibomana, umuyobozi w’umudugudu wa Susa, avuga ko iyo havutse ikibazo bafatanya ku gikemura, kuko umuyobozi w’umudugudu ari umuhuzabikorwa w’inzego zose mu mudugudu ndetse n’iz’umutekano.

Muhire Jean de Dieu, ukuriye home guards mu kagali ka Ruhengeri, yavuze ko abaturage bazajya baborohereza mu bijyanye no gucunga umutekano, bacana amatara ku mazu yabo, kuko bigabanya abambuzi bitwaza ijoro.

Yaboneye ho kandi kubibutsa ko bazajya babaha amakuru y’ahagizwe indiri z’abajura n’abanywa ibiyobyabwenge kugirango babate muri yombi batarangiza byinshi.

Parents have to take the first step in eliminating kwashiorkor in their children by minding their children’s nutrition, the governor of Northern Province of Rwanda Aime Bosenibamwe said.

The governor took time to have a discussion with local people after joining them in the community work on Tuesday the 12^th.Feb.2013 in Muko sector in Musanze district that was done on the banks of Susa River.

Susa River is commonly known for over flooding and destroying people’s crops and properties during the rainy season.

The governor advised people in this area to live in the allocated settlement village, to start saving in Savings and Credits Cooperative (SACCO) and parents to pay attention to their children nutrition and eradicate kwashiorkor and malnutrition.

The governor also visited Hugukirwa cooperative that makes seeds for banana trees of which he asked them to multiply these seeds to be accessed by many people.  Residents of Muko sector proved to the governor how their sector is ruled by good governance as it is no longer among the poorest sector and doing well economically.

Residents of this sector also shared with the governor on their crop harvest as a sign of stability due to good governance and enough security. Residents were asked to work hard towards development of Rwanda starting with the village.

The community work done in Muko sector in Musanze district is one of the many projects and actions being done in the month of good governance program.

The vulnerable group of people in an association called ‘Abafatanyije ba Musanze’ Cyabagarura cell in Musanze sector on Tuesday the 8^th.Jan.2013 were given goats to rear in a way of supporting them to get out of poverty.

CDLS Musanze through ‘Abanyamurava’ cooperative with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture initiated this program of supporting the vulnerable group of people in the association of people living with HIV/AIDS with goats.

Bisengimana Innocent who works for the District Commission against AIDS (CDLS) in Musanze district asked the association members who were given goats to take good care of them and use them to get out of poverty.

“These goats are not to be sold or eaten; they are to help you attain development” Bisengimana Innocent warned the association members.

Mrs. Assiya Nyiramajyambere the president of ‘Abanyamurava’ cooperative says the ‘Abafatanyije ba Musanze’ association of the AIDS carriers in Musanze district became exemplary leading to formation of more 11 associations.

She promised them support and advocacy for the association members to get everything they need to promote and develop themselves as well as their families.

Alphonsine Nyirandegeya who represented the people who were given the goats in the association appreciated those who thought about their social welfare and gave them. She said that all their achievements are results of working together as an association.

Each of the 20 association members was given 3 goats.

Dr. Jean Pierre Dusingizemungu, president of Ibuka foundation has asks genocide survivors to go back to their places of origin and promote development, saying the economic growth of their area depends on their activeness.

Ibuka President resolved this on July 22^nd 2012 during an event to lay to rest 407 bodies if 1994 Tutsi genocide victims in Musanze district.

Dr. Dusingizemungu stresses: “Be confident, come back here and start projects like staring up schools, hospitals and do tourism businesses like others. The governor and the district mayor will make it easier for you to start businesses. ”.

He added that genocide survivors of Musanze but living outside the district should go back and compete with others on market. There are a lot of opportunities here that one can invest in and become rich, says Ibuka foundation president.

Genocide survivors reveal that genocide in Musanze started in 1991 where Tutsi “Abagogwe” were killed on grounds that they are related to “Ikotanyi”.

On April 7^th 1994, “Abagogwe” were killed to an extent that two children and those that had not spent a night at home were spared, lament Musanze genocide survivors.

Some of the Abagogwe bodies are buried in Busogo genocide memorial centre in Musanze district while other bodies of their genocide victim loved ones are not yet found.

Residents in Gisenyi town of Rubavu district in the Western Province say that housing middle men commonly known as (abakomisyoneri) exorbitantly hike fees for their services which doesn’t correspond with the work they actually do.

The profession which has experienced influx and swelling numbers of practioners was in the past practiced by a few people, but now the big numbers have even brought in conmen at the expense of the people.

According to Assia Mutegarugori a retail trader in Gisenyi market says that the conduct of these middle men has stolen the trust for them of late.

She says that when a middle man takes you to a house for rent and you don’t like it, they say that you have wasted their time. So this has led them to begin demanding for Rwf1, 000 for every visit.

This amount is not appropriate especially if you don’t like their product which should have been the basis of payment.

“They are even characterised by little discipline where they even insult their clients in case of a misunderstanding,” says another resident who was only identified as Joseph.

This issue has even gone up to the extent of house owners refusing to open for the middle men in case they bring in would be tenants.

Abdou Rutayisire a house owner says that though they middle men are sometimes needed, they have become a problem because they go as far as lying about the actual cost of the rent.

One of the middle men who preferred anonymity said that some of his colleagues go as far as demanding commission equal to the apartment’s monthly rate.

The widely known rate in Gisenyi town for the commission is 10 percent of the monthly rate of the tenant.

Nsengiyumva Albert, yashishikarije ababyeyi kumva ishingano bafite mu kwita ku mirire myiza y’abana bahabwa indyo yuze kugira ngo bakure neza kandi bashobore no gutekereza neza.

Minisitiri Nsengiyumva yibukije ababyeyi ko imirire mibi itadindiza umwana mu gukura gusa ahubwo ko inadindiza umwana mu mitekerereze. Aha yavuze ko mu Rwanda imirire mibi idaterwa n’ibura ry’ibiryo ahubwo ko ari umubenyi bucye bw’ababyeyi.

Umurenge wa Cyuve ni umwe mu mirenge year cyane ariko ugaragaramo ikibazo cy’imirire mibi. Mu mwaka wa 2011uyu murenge wagaragayemo umubare munini w’abana bafite ikibazi cy’imirire mibi.
