Members of New blood Family association have visited Mediatrice Umwali, a lonely mute orphan of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi and supported her with Rwf70.000 and food; on the 22^nd.April.2012.

This association is made of the youth that finished their studies and have jobs and they did in a way of supporting her in this period of commemoration and to show that there is still hope in life.

Delice Mbaguta the vice president of the association said, they thought about forming this association after finding out that many youth who are of school got involved in bad actions and decided to make a change as they are the strength of the country and can achieve whatever they set their minds on.

Josiane Cyineza Bora, a member of this association said that it is good for a person who has problems to be approached and to know that he/she is not alone and by this a person gets a hope to live especially to an orphan who lives alone.

“A young person like this feels that she is not alone and that there are others who think about her and who are of the same age as her.” She said.

In the message this orphan wrote on the paper because she is mute, she said she was very happy for the young people full of love who think of others with problems, they gave her hope to go on living.

The New Year is likely to see a major boost to service delivery in the health sector, after the recent distribution of 67 state-of-the-art ambulances to all district hospitals across the country.

Rwanda s health ministry this Thursday distributed 7 brand new ambulances to different hospitals

The seven ambulances handed over to the hospitals are in line with the government program of equipping Health centers and hospitals in the country with ambulances.

Dr. Agnes Binagwaho, Rwanda’s Minister of Health expressed her delight that the ministry is achieving its goals of extending ambulances in each district to help sick people easily access health services.

She urged hospital Directors to develop a business plan that will help maintain the ambulances without depending on the government.

“More ambulances have been given out to increase access to health care services. This is in a bid to increase rapid intervention in cases of emergency such as accidents, mothers going to deliver and many other health-related crises that may befall Rwandans”, Binagwaho said.

Among the hospitals which received ambulances include; Masaka in Kicukiro district, Mubilizi in Rusizi district, Remera Rukoma in Kamonyi district, Shyira in Nyabihu district and Mugonero in Karongi district.

Apart from taking patients to hospitals, the ambulances also contain first aid materials, sickbed and a place for a physician when giving basic treatment to a patient.

Under this program, the Health Ministry has so far offered 208 ambulances all over the country.

Les vendeurs du marché de Gasiza, secteur de Bushoki, district de Rulindo, choisissent de revendre leurs produits en dehors du marché du fait qu’il n’ya pas assez d’acheteurs et leurs produits ne se vendent pas facilement dans le marché.

Un des commerçants signale qu’ils font leurs commerces en dehors du marché principalement les produits alimentaires et vêtements. Le marché les héberge des que la pluie s’invite. Habimana Celestin, vendeur des vêtements, préfère vendre en dehors du marché car ses produits ne sont pas visibles lorsqu’il les expose dans le marché. « Je n’écoule pas mes produits facilement ici dans ce marché, il n’ya pas assez de places et les vêtements s’en trouve chiffonnés. Sauf les vendeurs ambulants des chemises arrivent à vendre leurs produits » a-t-il déclaré.

Le directeur du marché, Habineza Anselme, atteste que les vendeurs refusent de prendre place dans le marché et les mesures disciplinaires sont prévues en leur encontre en collaboration avec les autorités des cellules de base.

Agira ati: “ ntabwo njya ncururiza mu isoko kuko imyenda iba yegeranye cyane ikanakingirizanya, bigatuma abaguzi bagabanuka, keretse abacuruza nk’ amashatsi bamanika nibo bashobora gucururiza mu isoko bikagenda”.
