Gisagara residents advised on healthy feeding Residents of the Southern district of Gisagara have been urged to improve their eating habits for a healthy life.

The call came after it was discovered that parents save nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables.

Most people in this part of the country don’t see the use of these foods and say that there were some types of food which they could not spend money.

Vestine Bankundiye a resident of Kansi sector in the district said “she could not by things like fruits and vegetable unless she was buying them for the children,” adding that she saw no need for such at her age.

However, the district leadership called on the residents to reduce eating foods with much oil and also to always eat healthy food including fruits and vegetables for a healthy and good living”.

They were also advised to stop drinking alcohol a vice that is prominent in this area, she advised them against it due to the side effects related to much consumption of alcohol.

The vice mayor in charge of social welfare in the district Donatelli Uwingabire called upon especially the women to join the teachings on good feeding, so that they could be able to prepare nutritious food for their families.

She advised them to always keep homes clean especially with food stuffs in order to prevent diseases related to poor hygiene.

Gisagarahas been praised for fighting malnutrition among children though there are still a few cases of malnutrition.

Amazi y’indimu (lemon juice) wikamuriye ni yo meza kuruta ayo umuntu agura muri za alimentasiyo (alimentation)..   1. 1.    Gushyusha indimu

Gushyusha indimu bituma irushaho gutanga amazi (lemon juice) menshi, ariko ukirinda kuyishyusha cyane kuko bishobora gutuma amazi yayo ahindura uburyohe n’ibara. Fata indimu yawe uyuhate, hanyuma uyishyushye mu tuzi duke. Ushobora nanone gushyira indimu wahase mu kintu gipfundikiye ukayishushya muri micro onde. Shyusha indimu yawe akanya karinganiye kugira ngo ya mazi yayo abashe kurekurana uza kuyakamura yose . Fata indimu yawe uyikandire hejuru y’ikintu gifukuye, (isahani cyangwa isorori)

Wibuke gukuramo imbuto, cyangwa ushyireho akayunguruzo igihe urimo kuyikamura kugira ngo imbuto zisigare, kimwe n’utundu tuntu duto tuba wamanukanye n’amazi y’indimu.

 

  1. 2.    Kugaragura indimu uyikanda

Kugaragura indimu ukanayikandira mu biganza cyangwa ku meza, bifasha kuyikuramo amazi menshi nk’uko bigenda iyo umuntu yayishyuhije, ariko byo bitwara akanya gato. Fata indimu yawe uyishyire mu biganza byombi ubundi uyigaragure unayikandakande cyane. Ibi bituma indimu itandukana n’igishishwa cyayo (skin), n’amazi yayo agasohoka mu dusaho (fibers) twayo. Nurangiza kuyigaragura no kuyikanda, uyikatemo ibice bibili ubundi ukamurire ya mazi yayo mu gasahane gafukuye. Ibuka kuyungurura.

Les agriculteurs du district ont été  appelés de s’initier a la culture des prunes car elle est productrice et génératrice des revenus.

Dans un entretien avec le chargé de l’agriculture dans le district de Gicumbi, l’agronome Nzeyimana Jean Chrysostome déclare que peu d’agriculteurs cultivent les prunes au Rwanda. C’est pour cela que les prix des prunes dans les differents marchés sont élevés.

Il conseille : «  Ce serait préférable que les prunes soient cultivés dans des petits champs à proximité des maisons d’habitation. Cela aidera les agriculteurs de les prendre soin sans problème ».

Cet agronome atteste que la culture des fruits apporte des nutriments essentiels pour notre corps.

Mutabazi Alexis, un exploitant agricole des prunes, explique qu’une partie de sa production est vendue tandis que l’autre est  cédée à ses enfants. L’utilisation des engrais augmente la production des prunes selon cet agriculteur.

Le site internet www.ehow.com explique qu’une utilisation saine de la terre fait augmenter la production des ces fruits. Une bonne terre ne doit pas avoir beaucoup d’eau, doit être labourée efficacement pour permettre un emmagasinage naturel de l’eau.

Les prunes sont connues pour leurs effets curatifs et préventifs de certaines maladies.
