Ms. Esperance Uwimpuhwe the vice mayor for social affairs said this kind of contribution will be used in solving the problems of genocide survivors and supporting them in either possible way especially renovating the houses of genocide survivors most of which are in deplorable states.
“This contribution will support us in solving the accommodation issues affecting most genocide survivors as well as other programs like education, health issues, forming and allocating genocide survivors in cooperatives among others” says Uwimpuhwe.
Uwimpuhwe went on to say the houses that will be dealt with first are the old houses especially those built in 1998.
The management of Gatsibo district says the 1994 genocide survivor’s general welfare is getting better by the day as they strive for self reliance and as years go by, they develop hope for the better.
