All roads heading to Kiyombe sector in Nyagatare District were thrilled with RPF flags and placards, as thousands of party members gathered behind party’s parliamentary aspirants in a campaign.
At the campaign site in the main town of Kiyombe sector, thousands of Kiyombe sector residents and others from neighbouring sectors assured parliamentary candidates on the RPF-Inkotanyi ticket that they will vote for the party come Election Day, saying what RPF has achieved speak for itself.
“We shall vote for the party, we want RPF to continue feeding Rwanda with two hands wide open because of what the party has done during the few years in power. We have infrastructure, our Children are enjoying free universal education because of this party,” chanted a section of women during the campaign.
Speaking in an interview, party members praised the leadership of RPF for spearheading development that has seen Rwandans enjoy a dignified life.
“Honestly speaking, what RPF has done is evidenced to everyone in many spheres. It was a dream to see a good feeder road from Nyagatare town to this remote sector. We didn’t expect our children would go to nearby Schools and survived long distances we walked to School in our early days. I will confidently vote for my party because I secretly know where it has brought me from,” said Anastasie Nyirabageshi.
Karimunda Isaac, an RPF member and resident of Kiyombe said: “We have security, health insurance Scheme, food secure as well as access to clean water. This is something we didn’t expectin Kiyombe.
Among the parliamentary hopefuls representing Nyagatare district are incumbent Bwiza Kony.
John Rukumbura, one of the aspirants assured residents that RPF would continue to build the nation if given the mandate.
Across different campaign sites, the chairman of RPF in Nyagatare District, Sabiti Atuhe Fred said that the district has registered remarkable development as a result of exceptional and good leadership by the Party chairman, President Paul Kagame.
“We have milk plants, a Granite industry as well as factories for agriculture production. We have increased milk production as a result of improved technology in agribusiness, and all these are attributed to RPF leadership,” he said amidst applause from party members.
